Party Hair
Get the most from your time…
Christmas is a time when we a try to fit a lot more into our schedules. The first thing I always advise is to book Christmas appointments early. All good salons get booked up leading up to Christmas, and if you’re in need of a longer appointment say for colours etc, your choices for availability could get extremely limited.
Make the appointment now...
If you are contemplating a new image be sure to let the salon know when you book, so they can allow extra time and give you the very best service they can. Ask the salon if you can have an advanced consultation before things get very busy. Any good salon should offer a free consultation service. Leave as many contact details as possible in case of any problems. At Moodyhair we offer a free text reminder service, where your appointment is sent via text to your mobile 24hrs before.
Get the most for your hair…
With a big increase in social demands, parties, functions and nights out all seeming to come at once, think about using your salon to help you get the most out of your hair and time. Moodyhair offers late night appointments on Thursday and Friday evenings to help clients match their hairdressing needs with their busy diaries.
Party hair and special occasions hair is in big demand at Christmas time. This year it’s all been about red carpet glamour and smooth sophistication. Curls and waves have been big news on the catwalks and the celebrity parties.
Get the most for you…
Finally don’t forget to treat yourself. Add time to your hair appointment for services such as scalp or head massages too.
The high street is a great place to buy special treats for your hair and scalp, strengtheners, softeners, moisturisers etc. The best place to get the best advice and products prescribed, individually to you is the professional salon. Special Christmas packs represent great value. Moodyhair works with Redken who this year are offering special hair care product sets.
Ask your stylist what‘s on offer and what would work for you, then perhaps, drop some hints at home to make sure there’s something perfect under the tree for you. |

For shorter hair,

| think soft texture and movement and whatever you do, ditch the straighteners, flat hair has finally flunked out. Apply a soft styling mousse and gently finger dry the hair by rotating the roots with your finger pads to gain height, then gently “scrunch” the ends to get movement and texture, try to style the hair to one side, which is usually more flattering than straight back, and allow some to fall and sweep across the fringe. Finally apply a very small amount of a soft, shiny styling wax. Look in the accessory shops for small sparkling crystals that can be individually secured into the hair, or small diamante slides that can placed on the sides. |
