Bean Casserole
Five Bean Casserole



Ingredients
• Cannellini beans
• Adzuki beans
• Black eye beans
• Butter beans
• Tin baked beans
• 175ml red wine
• Thyme
• Chopped onions
• Chopped tomatoes
• 2 cloves garlic
• Basmati rice

Method
Wash beans (except baked) in cold water. Heat them in a pan with chopped onion, thyme, garlic and butter. Sweat down for 5 minutes. Add red wine and chopped tomatoes and bring to the boil. Simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in baked beans and serve with basmati rice. Add the turmeric to the rice for added colour.
