The key to weight loss
We all know that eating healthier and exercise are key to losing and keeping weight off.
It sounds simple, yet many UK residents struggle to change their eating habits long term or make exercise a permenant feature of day to day life. Jo Neville thinks a key thing is missing. I believe that to successfully lose weight and keep it off most people will need long term support. You can build a support network from friends, family, a professional or via a regular group. By using the people around us and explaining what we want to achieve and how they can best help us we are more likely to succeed.
Firstly, find someone who you are willing to share your goal with, secondly ask them if they can provide the support you need. A personal trainer, a weight loss group or a friend who is aiming at the same goal are all readily available. The different professional services that are out there offer a huge amount of support so check out what they can do for you.

Once you have started it is then important to build the relationship by attending your sessions regularly and letting your supporter know what you need along the way. This ongoing regular support will help you keep focused on your goal and you’ll get encouragement and new ideas to help you make changes that will stick.
A simple mistake that many people make once they have achieved their goal is to stop using the support available. Without ongoing support our enthusiasm may wain and we don’t always notice the bad habits creeping back in. Many clients are very successful at losing weight, but the chances of my clients staying that way often depends on whether they utilize the long term weight management sessions that I hold.
