Perrys Offers You
the Added X-Factor
Available as either a curvaceous saloon or a sporty estate, the X-TYPE 2.2 litre diesel’s new 155PS engine delivers the performance and refinement benefits of a premium diesel yet delivers an impressive 47 miles per gallon - making it an extremely attractive proposition to demanding drivers.
Capable of top speed of 137mph and achieving 0-60mph in just 8.9 seconds, the X-TYPE 2.2 diesel is a potent performer. However, its sporting prowess has not been achieved at the cost of refinement. Jaguar’s Dynamic Stability Control system (DSC) delivers confidence and inspiring levels of grip when pressing on, but also a level of comfort and poise that would embarrass many more expensive competitors.
Whether choosing a saloon or an estate, the X-TYPE’s unique styling gives it impressive on-road presence and an unmistakable silhouette. The 2.2 diesel has an especially imposing look accentuated by large alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and lower-profile tyres.

Inside, Jaguar’s trademark craftsmanship and attention to detail are immediately evident. A selection of fine wood veneers or more contemporary materials, such as carbon fibre, allow drivers to personalise their environment whilst intrusive engine and road noise levels are kept to a minimum through the use of technically advanced sound-proofing and special glass fibre bonnet insulation.
Steve Garth, dealer principal at Perrys Jaguar, said: “By combining high performance diesel engines with high quality materials and craftsmanship, Jaguar has created a vehicle that appeals to both the heart and head.
“Alongside performance and styling, economy and environmental impact are becoming an increasingly important consideration when purchasing a car. It is therefore reassuring for customers to find that the sporting 2.2 diesel returns an mpg figure among the very best in its class and that the 2.0 litre diesel’s exceptionally low CO2 emissions (of just 149g/km in the saloon version) recently saw it voted the most environmentally friendly luxury car in the Environmental Transport Association’s (ETA) Car Buyers Guide.”
