Spencer Arms
 Sitting in the shadow of All Saints Church, Cawthorne is the Spencer Arms, a great pub which offers the best of both worlds.
As well as being a popular local pub, it is now South Yorkshire’s newest ‘gastro-pub’. It also offers a superb upstairs function room, ideal for weddings, parties and other celebrations.
Recently refurbished, the Spencer Arms is quickly building up a reputation as a great place for a delicious meal, courtesy of chef Jason Neilson and his team.
Walk into the Spencer Arms and you’ll find a separate restaurant area which has been refurbished to create a contemporary but welcoming dining area. With new leather furniture and window dressings and upholstry from Bryella this is a stylish place to enjoy British cooking at its best.

Take a look at the dinner menu - which changes regularly - and you’ll find there’s something for everyone from fish to steak, vegetarian to game.
To finish then – we took a look at the dessert menu which offers eight choices – and decided we would share our perennial favourite, home made Tiramisu which arrived in a very dinky teacup, topped with an Amaretto biscuit. Mmm, Mmm! That soon disappeared and we rounded off the meal with a cappuccino.
