Contemporary, Relaxed Dining
Although it’s only been open a couple of months, The Lemon Tree Trattoria is fast becoming one of Huddersfield’s most popular places to eat.
 Opened at the end of July by chef Daniel Tatlock, the restaurant in Church Street, Honley is a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene and offers authentic Italian and Mediterranean food in a relaxed, sociable environment.
The thing is, a visit to The Lemon Tree Trattoria is fun, it’s relaxed, it’s casual and has a wide appeal for all ages who appreciate top notch Italian food in a bustling, convivial and friendly atmosphere.
Its appeal is set to be timeless and as popular with young families as with the more mature crowd who have had time to build up an appreciation of good food and know what they like. On the evening we visited relatively early, the restaurant was already full with couples, families with young children, groups etc.
A good thing about The Lemon Tree Trattoria is that it has a pleasant bar/waiting area where diners can enjoy a drink, help themselves to an olive or two and browse at the menu. Arriving a few minutes before my two friends, I was quite happy to sit in the bar area on my own with an oliveand a drink.

This gave me time to peruse the menu and make a choice of salmon, potato and dill fishcakes to start followed by pan fried chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms, mozzarella and garlic, and wrapped in Parma ham.
